When to take Glutamine: Fitness and Health Tips

The four key times to take Glutamine:

  1. In the morning
  2. Before workouts
  3. After workouts
  4. At bedtime

Why are these times so important?

  • The morning since you just went 8 hours or more without any food, water and you need to replenish your muscles or they can start to deplete.
  • To prevent an excessive breakdown of your muscles, take Glutamine before workouts. When you use excessive amounts of energy in a workout you can cause micro-tears and muscle contractions. (This is when a massage is most effective.) ARTICLE If your muscles are depleted of L-Glutamine, muscle growth is very minimal.
  • Glutamine is the most important amino acid in your muscles. If you workout hard, your Glutamine levels are shot and need to be replenished.
