Where do I begin?
I just turned 30 years old, Im newly single and want to take an adventure. I have decided to pack up all my belongings, put everything in boxes, get on a plane and tour Europe.
I guess I have a plan… I will be starting off in Paris to celebrate Bastille Day which takes place on July 14th. It’s a French national holiday and it was formally called La Fete Nationale as well as le quatorze juillet.
It’s celebrated because of the 1790 Fete de la Federation, held on the first anniversary of the storming of Bastille on July 14th 1798.
I started off my day going to Stan’s donuts in Westwood. If you try Stan’s donuts then you will understand why I had to go there! Does anyone know the proper way in spelling donuts? I always thought it was donuts, but some spell it doughnuts.
I had to bring my raw unpasturized milk for the chaser.
After stuffing my face with donuts, I was lucky enough to get squeezed into my dentist office for a tooth repair! I couldn’t beleive the got me in! My tooth was bothering me for the past week. Dr. Milanez is amazing! You can contact him for an appointment at: 323-931-9019
Not sure why my tooth flared up but Dr. Milanez told me I either have been brushing my teeth too hard or is was from eating too citrucy foods. It’s all fixed now! So Im hoping I wont have any problems when Im in Europe.
I then met up with my girl friend Lindsay Gareth to shop and to get a bite to eat. We ended up at a Italian restaurant called Obika Mozzarella Bar. We were welcomed with Italian love by Massimo De Marco. Such an amazing experience! Everyone knew Italian and I already felt as if I was in Italy by their friendly nature and loving flavor.
Lindsay, Massimo and I talked for a couple hours then I had to leave to finish up my packing for my trip.
Im only bringing one suitcase for a month because there is a airline called Ryanair (Europe’s “Southwest airlines” ) who only allows one luggage no more than 40 pounds, one item only or else you have to pay much more for a check in item! My lugage currently weighs 38.7 pounds! With my laptop it’s about 42 pounds. So I’m hoping I can take the laptop out if they decide to weigh it. Keep your fingers crossed for me.
Then there was my going away party at Mr. Cecil’s! Oh how I love Mr. Cecil’s!
It was amazing! I had my close friends join me for my last rib fest before I leave. While we were oinking down my beautiful friends surprised me with a slide show with picture of my 30th birthday celebration last weekend.
I was really over whelmed with the love and support from my family and friends since this really will be an amazing adventure not knowing where I will end up next.
Thank you Sandra Luesse for baking me a homemade Kosher, German Cheese Cake! Love you!
So now, here I am, sipping on a LARGE dirty Chi Tea Latte (thank you Sandra) watching a movie while India (Sandra’s dog) licks the carpet clean like a hoover vacuum. I’m pulling an all nighter trying not to fall asleep because I arrive in Paris at 7am Tuesday to see if I can fight the jet lag. Lets just pray I fall asleep on the plane.
Tomorrow the escapade begins, Paris here I come!
