Life is not meant to be a constant battle with sickness, sadness, and depression. To truly live, we must seek out health and happiness as our primary focus. It’s not an easy path, but it is a worthwhile one. Allow me to show you that a life of joy and vitality is within your reach.

Words of Encouragement from a “Single” Entrepreneur.

Oatmeal-bowl

While I’m stuffing my face with oatmeal writing this I ask myself, how is it that I’m exhausted but I still have enough energy to continue on? I sometimes feel my feet and body lost all feeling and I’m just dragging dead weight. The blind leading the blind, fake it till you become it some say. I believe I still have energy to continue because I can see the end zone. I’m ready for it and can feel the touchdown coming. I’m just waiting to throw the perfect line drive down the end-zone to score. But whom am I going to throw the ball to? I’m doing this alone.

Life of a “single” entrepreneur is not glamorous. It’s draining, you struggle, you sometimes cry randomly, you’re almost on your last penny but some how make it though the next month. You might not see the struggles we go through because we present the positive aspects of our journey, posts of smiling photos and all the success stories. Stay positive, motivate others and ourselves to try harder, work faster, be smarter and push myself to get out of bed to start over again. When starting we don’t have time to socialize, fraternize or small talk with people. We live on oatmeal, pasta or smoothies to keep full for the whole day. Sometimes that’s all we can afford. Or we don’t have time for cooking breakfast, lunch, dinners or shopping if it’s just for our self. We stock the pantry up with what won’t go bad or can freeze nicely. Thank goodness I like oatmeal anyways, you just add water and my dog seems to like it.

I use the word “single” entrepreneur because for one, I am one. I have a dog and cat at home, no family in town or a husband that I can confide in. Yes it can be lonely. Who am I trying to kid? It is lonely. It’s not easy. Especially when you work from home and sometimes never step foot out the door. Entrepreneurs who start a business by themselves sometimes have no help. When they ask for help we lose friends and sometimes gain new ones. But were they true friends to begin with; we don’t have time to figure that out either.

People judge you, hate you, like you, love you, look up to you and start all over again. You don’t need 100% of people to understand or like you, 51% can win you the presidency. With all of this, I wake up every morning to piles of inventory in my room, dinning area, living room and closet. I see it, breath it, taste it and live it. I have a brand I believe in, a product I love that helps people and animals. I actually have a brand I developed on my own! It still hasn’t hit me the way it should. I should take the time to be proud of what I have accomplished. How far I have already gotten. I will keep going even though I know there’s going to be more up and downs but this is apart of being an entrepreneur. I heard a friend say, “There’s no such thing as failure. It’s called quitting.” I can never look back only learn from it. To all my entrepreneur friends, Love you and keep on trucking! Take time to appreciate what you have built! I forget to do that. For one thing, after experiencing what it’s like, I wouldn’t ever choose a different life other than a life of an entrepreneur. Would you?
