This is another topic that we all seem to look past.
A gentleman would have NEVER:
1. Borrowed money from a lady
2. Borrowed money from a man without security and the intention to pay it back as quickly as possible
3. Discussed money
4. Discussed his possessions or their cost
5. Name dropped: Example “My billionaire client went dining with Steven Spielberg, who was told by Tom Cruise it's OK for "A" listers to name drop…”. No that didn't really happen, but you get the picture.
On the other hand, do you remember when we did not try to keep up with the Joneses because we didn’t know what the Joneses had and no one knew what we had?
Living here in Los Angeles everyone talks about money, everyone wants to have tons of money and everyone wants to be friends with people who have money!
Same goes with religion and politics. Some people frown upon discussing this anywhere and prefer to keep their outlooks under their own roof.
I am one of those people who was guilty of talking about how much money I made, religious views and politics! I now make it a point to only discuss money when it comes to investment purposes, but I will no longer discuss what my finances are beyond that, religious views if someone asks me a question and politics with people who ask for my view. It's no ones business only yours! xxx <3 A&L
