I was inspired to purchase a last minute ticket to Los Cabos San Lucas Mexico to have a quick get away from my busy schedule.
A good friend of mine has a beautiful estate in San Jose del Cabo right next to the One & Only Palmilla hotel.
I’ve been coming here for over 4 years and it really feels like my home away from home.
Wanting to share my experience with my best friend Sandra Luesse I invited her to join in on the festivities.
I took off on Christmas morning at 6 am and headed to the airport. Shout out to William Larsen for driving me to the airport on Christmas morning.
I don’t know how I do it, but something about airplanes makes me exhausted. I passed out even before the airplane took off on the runway.
I had a layover in San Francisco and then headed to Cabo. In San Francisco, I received a call from Sandra telling me she couldn’t make her flight today because of food poisoning! Feel better hun, get here when you can.
On the flight, I met Daniella. What a small world! She went to school with my good friend Elle! VIDEO OF ELLE AND I Also Daniella was going to the same party as me on the 30th to celebrate a mutual friends birthday at El Dorado. We exchanged information and I’ll for sure meet with her during my stay.
Arriving in Cabo I was greeted by my friends’ driver Juan Carlos. I was welcomed with a bottle of Champagne.
I couldn’t resist.
Arriving at the estate I was greeted by some of my favorite people. Juan, Javi, and Fila. Juan is my friends assistant, Javi the butler and Fila the chef. The team my friend has brought together is family. I missed them so much! Ecstatic to be back.
Javi greeted me with a margarita, Fila with fajitas and Juan with hugs and a huge smile. Juan escorted me to my room to get settled in for my weeks stay.
I took advantage of the amenities, laid out, read my book, blogged of course and looked out at the Sea of Cortez.
I heard back from Sandra and she booked a flight for tomorrow!
For tonight I asked Juan and his beautiful fiance Gloria to join me for dinner around the fire pit.
Have you ever seen the movie, Mr. Deeds? Remember the butler? Well, that’s Javi to the T! He pops out of nowhere, he’s 10 steps ahead of you every time. You don’t have to think about anything since he’s already taken care of it. He’s funny, smart, charismatic and he’s just amazing to be around.
I’m making it an early night. I have a bunch of planning to do for Sandra when she arrives.
