12/31/11
I woke up to Javi the butler at my door telling me that my Spanish teacher just arrived. Ohhh boy trying to concentrate after a night of hardly any sleep will be extremely difficult, but a commitment is a commitment so it’s time to start the day!
After Spanish class I decided to jump on the paddle board and head out to sea.
For proper sun coverage I wore a huge sombrero. I really wish I had a picture of this. It was absolutely hilarious watching me on a mild windy day trying to stand on the board with this hat.
I ended up paddling at least a mile out in the water looking for some grey whales. Didn’t find them and now I have to paddle back. You don’t realize how far you’ve paddle with your back towards the beach. Also you don’t realize at that time you’ve got to turn around at some point and repeat that same distance. I definitely had a great work out.
When I got back some friends joined us at the estate for a quick tan session.
We took a quick ride to Nikki Beach, then to our friends place in El Dorado for the sunset.
It was time to get ready for New Years Eve!
Our first stop was a sushi dinner.
We then rushed to the Tiki bar to meet up with a friend to go on a yacht party.
So we get on the yacht…
When we get on the yacht we notice that the crowed was much older than we expected. All of them seemed to be married and the music wasn’t what we were up for. So at the last second when the yacht started to leave the dock we all jumped off. Not joking! If I had a picture of everyones faces it was priceless.
One problem… We were now locked on the dock.
Someone was kind enough to let us out.
We ended up back to No Where Bar in Cabo San Lucas. We got a table and brought in the New Year right. With friends, good music and fun people.
We stayed till 3am headed home and I started to pack my bags for my 1030am pick up to the airport.
I got everything together by 5am and hit the bed hard. Such a long day but worth every minute of no sleep.
Tomorrow I leave Cabo and head to Loveland Colorado to see my Mom!
